Donorscape Announcement

Special Announcement from DonorScape

Colleagues,

Over the last twelve months, we at GG+A have evaluated how we can best support our clients and their philanthropic analytics needs in the future. Our discussions have been informed by the growing emergence and implications of artificial intelligence in philanthropic analytics; the increasing number of data sources available; the growing complexity of issues surrounding data integrity and data security; and the associated technical staff required to robustly support this enterprise. We are excited about the opportunities ahead and want to focus our efforts on developing the next generation of analytic insights to help fuel your philanthropic growth.

As a firm committed to delivering the highest quality, evidence-based, data-driven counsel, we see it as a key responsibility to develop and deploy philanthropic analytics to support client success. Over the last decade, the philanthropic wealth screening market has rapidly evolved within an increasingly complex, competitive environment of data services, products, and client expectations for the highest possible level of security in the handling and analysis of their sensitive constituent data.

With all this in mind, we have determined that we can best serve you by partnering with a data resources organization capable of providing the broadest possible access to public giving data; the tools and resources to enable robust wealth screening; and a team with the resources to build upon our long-standing and tested algorithms and predictive modeling and ensure the highest levels of data security. We have undertaken an extensive search to identify a market leader focused on next-generation data security, seamless integration with CRMs to streamline data sharing, and best-in-class data and scoring to inform strategy and research.

Today, we are excited to announce our partnership with iWave. Over the last several years, iWave has developed innovative new scoring; enhanced their web-based, Tableau-enabled platform; and developed secure API integrations with a multitude of CRM systems. As their recent acquisition of generative AI tool NonProfitOS highlights, iWave is committed to continuing to advance its products to provide greater fundraising intelligence. In our view, they are the leader in this marketplace, and their continuous investment in these technologies will become increasingly apparent in 2024. Through our unique partnership, we will utilize iWave’s scoring and underlying proprietary data to power GG+A’s unique and powerful analytic offerings. Together, we will leverage our industry-leading experience with iWave’s technical resources to continue to identify new ways to support you and advance your mission.

Given this new strategic direction, after much careful consideration, we have decided to cease DonorScape (DSLLC) operations, effective December 31, 2023. We understand that this news may come as a surprise, and we want to assure you that this decision was very thoughtfully considered and determined to be in the best interest of our clients.  Our team has been working diligently with iWave to ensure a near seamless transition in technology support for each of our clients.

Thank you for your partnership with GG+A, and with DonorScape over the last 30 years. We value our many long-standing client relationships and the opportunity to continue to provide you with best-in-class philanthropic guidance and counsel. Through this new partnership with iWave, we will continue to provide philanthropic analytics in support of your success, while ensuring the highest possible level of data security.

Our team will reach out to each of you directly to discuss how this change impacts our work together. Thank you,

John Glier and Suzanne Hilser-Wiles
